Account Manager

We’re looking for an experienced account manager to join the Pocket Square team, bringing with them a raft of knowledge to help drive clients’ business growth through effective account management. You'll be responsible for the day to day communications between our clients and our internal team of designers, strategists, marketers and developers ensuring our clients feel supported.

Pocket Square focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences for retail brands across all channels, creating one unified brand experience. Our Auckland-based team work with clients in New Zealand & Australia to design, develop and strategically support our clients to grow. Our clients are design-led businesses, and rely on us to match their brand aesthetic and guidelines perfectly through our work. Our clients include Ethique, Kate Sylvester, Trilogy, The Horse & Tuchuzy.

The Role

As Pocket Square’s Account Manager, you will be the key point of contact for our ongoing clients and are crucial to building a successful and long-term working relationship.

You will be responsible for all day to day contact with our clients, including internal team briefing, work in progress updates, production management and regular reporting. Clients will come to rely on you as their key contact within Pocket Square, knowing they'll hear back from you in a timely manner.

You won't have to go at it alone, having the support from the wider Pocket Square team including strategists, marketers, designers and developers who will help you produce and communicate amazing outcomes for our clients.

You will be someone who is approachable, friendly, highly motivated and demonstrates natural relationship and business development building ability. 

Multitasking skills are essential - you'll enjoy working with your colleagues as much as your client. You have industry experience and you understand the unique pressures, deadlines and challenges of agency life.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as our client's day to day contact within Pocket Square.

  2. Create detailed briefs (with the support of our strategy team) that support our client's goals and task objectives.

  3. Ensure projects/tasks run to budget and timeline, and communicate progress internally and externally.

  4. Effectively run multiple projects/briefs across multiple departments, ensuring work is prioritised according to your client's requirements and expectations.

  5. Build strong relationships with your clients and become the go-to for their team.

  6. Create project status reports and documentation where required

  7. Test all work before sending to clients for final review.

 

Key Experience:

  1. Minimum 2 year's experience in an agency account service role.

  2. Strong relationship skills for building internal and external partners to deliver world class work.

  3. Ability to provide solutions for clients and troubleshoot potential issues.

  4. Organisation - you will be across all the jobs for your clients and manage WIPs, contact reports and any other documentation required for day-to-day client management.

  5. Ability to remain calm under pressure whilst managing multiple projects.

  6. Attention to detail.

  7. Excellent communication skills - understands the importance attached to positive client relationships and demonstrates an engaging and open style of communication.

  8. Experience with Shopify and Shopify Plus (a bonus, but not required).

Intermediate Front End Developer

As a Pocket Square front-end developer, your main focus will be creating world-class solutions across a mixture of complete builds and ongoing improvements to our client’s sites.

You are someone who has an appreciation for design, are a strategic thinker, outstanding front-end developer and excellent communicator who approaches their work holistically and actively seeks out opportunities to add value.

You have a passion for design & technology and keep up-to-date with the latest trends and sharing these with the rest of the team.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead clients through the development process, working closely with Pocket Square’s designers and full stack developers. All work will be coded to match designs and tested across all key browsers and devices.

Your key deliverables as our front-end developer are:

Front-end development of signed off designs for new development projects.

Feature development to add new/improved functionality to existing client sites.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Ensuring all solutions delivered to your key accounts by you are of the utmost quality and consideration of our clients business needs.

Collaborating with our Technical and Creative Leads and any other Team member on ideas and concepts, documenting and reviewing possible solutions for our clients.

Providing and reviewing projects and task quotes and estimates with the outcome of our clients receiving more value than expected.

Creating and implementing a development methodology that can consistently produce scalable value for Pocket Squares clients.

Be able to work on several projects at once; managing them in a fast paced and demanding environment which may require extra hours, often under pressure.
