The Problem

Since their wholesale operations launched, Flo & Frankie have managed their wholesale workflows manually, with sales reps working via email and phone calls, directly into their primary back office system (Lightspeed).

As the trade side of the business grew, these manual processes became more difficult to manage and scale, resulting in plenty of admin for the internal team and workarounds.

As Flo & Frankie were already running Shopify Plus for their B2C operations, Pocket Square suggested we explore Shopify Plus B2B to help support their wholesale growth.

The team was immediately on board as they could see this would not only improve their workflows, but would also massively improve the experience for new and existing wholesale customers across New Zealand and Australia.

Using data already enriched from B2C and custom integrations to Lightspeed, we implemented a standalone Shopify Plus environment just for B2B.

The Solution

Product and Inventory data flows in near-real time giving B2B customers a clear idea of stock availability, while orders flow directly into the correct wholesale registers in Lightpseed with automatic stock transfers in place to minimise any internal involvement in processing an order.

B2B customers can sign in using Shopify Plus’ native B2B company/customer management and place orders, reorder, download assets and more, massively reducing the customer service workload on the Wholesale team at Flo & Frankie.

The new B2B ordering system is a game changer for the Flo & Frankie team, and their customers.

The business was already familiar with Shopify, using it for the B2C operations, so most of the effort that was already being spent for their B2C business could easily be leveraged on the B2B side too.
